about bob

Kia Ora, and welcome to bob.

We are a New Zealand designer fashion brand that uses the principles of up-cycling and ethical manufacturing to create quality garments.

Here at bob, we have three guiding principles:

1) We're Sustainable

Many fashion brands say they're sustainable but at bob we really are. In fact, sustainability is our main reason for being. Every decision we make is based on trying to lessen the impact on our planet. The biggest way we help is by sourcing second-hand and dead-stock materials and re-purposing them in to beautiful, quality pieces that can be worn season after season.

2) We're Local

Creating a business that supports NZ jobs and helps to keep skills in our country is exceptionally important to us. We couldn't be more proud to say that all our clothing is 100% NZ made and designed. Another part of our strive to support local is how we source our materials. We only support locally-based NZ businesses. Even our bob labels are made right here in Aotearoa!

3) We're Ethical

Having an ethical work environment is another huge driving force for us. The fashion industry is known for taking advantage of its workers but our goal is to change this. Everyone in our supply chain is paid fairly and have safe and healthy working conditions. This means that every item we make is supporting our staff to thrive.
